It seems that every time I read a news article Willard Mitt Romney steps into the Poop again.
He got pretty good at insulting his Republican Primary competitors, turned his attention to the President and has now managed to insult the Olympic Games and Britain, where he is a guest. But of course he is the great savior of the Olympic Games, the expert who spent vast amounts of Government money to host the US Winter Olympics in, as the Prime Minister put it, the “Middle of Nowhere”. Now I’m not an Olympics expert, but aren’t the Summer Olympics just a tad bigger, with more athletes, more countries and more events than the Winter Olympics and therefore quite a lot harder to organise, especially in the middle of a large city?
But then again Willard seems to think there is no problem with insulting countries “with whom we have a special relationship”, as he did in his book, writing “England is just a small island. Its roads and houses are small. With few exceptions, it doesn’t make things that people want to buy.”
Way to go Willard. Just think, penicillin, the jet engine, the world’s first jet airliner, cars that do on average over 40 miles per gallon…. I could go on, but what’s the point, nothing seems to penetrate Willard’s World. And just think, the Republicans think he’s the best thing to hit the campaign since…..Umm….Well that’s a question even they can’t answer. I guess anything is better than Sarah Palin. And to think that some of the harshest critics of Romney in Britain are his own traveling American press corps (who don’t have much to write about because Willard’s handlers never let them talk to him) and the British Conservative Press.
I think The Sun newspaper has it right with their headline “Mitt the Twit”.
Amen to that.
