Anyone who has read my blogs will know that I have no love for the GOP as it is presently configured. But there are those in the GOP who I do respect, because at times of national disaster they can put aside political differences for the sake of the country.

This is one of those times as New Jersey took to brunt of Hurricane Sandy as it came ashore in Atlantic city. Both Governor Christie and President Obama put aside their differences and are working together to overcome the devastation that has been wrought in the wake of the Hurricane.

As Governor Christie put in his own inimitable gruff, rough, straight from-the-shoulder way: “I have a job in New Jersey that is much bigger than presidential politics,” Gov. Chris Christie said on the show Fox & Friends. “I couldn’t care less about that.”
